This is TNAC. Thermal Nuclear Alarm Clock. I was looking for a small programming project, and while watching the film Broken Arrow, I decided to build an alarm clock like the nuclear weapon in the film. As usual, the entire thing has ended up WAY bigger than planned, but who cares. Built mostly using crap from B&Q or the local car boot. Its not finished, but it only gets worked on occasionally. Needs a support cradle, remote control and missile housing yet. The led displays are as follows: Top row: Current date 2nd row: Current time 3rd row: Alarm time 4th row: Time to alarm (detonation) If you want to turn off the countdown, you have to press ‘abort’, followed by the access code. The leds can be set to fade to low automatically after 1 minute, and all the led digits have a dimmer facility. You can turn the keypad and counter bleeper off if you want NOW ITS AN ALARM CLOCK.!!! I don’t want to see blacked out people carriers parked outside my house with tele-photo lenses poking out from behind the glass and all my phones tapped.
